A Guide to Iceland

50675792_UnknownIceland has been at the top of my bucket list for years and I finally checked it off! My boyfriend and I went with another couple for about a week in mid-September and it was such a great trip!!!! Iceland is magical. It is every bit as dreamy and beautiful and picturesque as people say. Pictures really don’t do it justice. There are rainbows EVERYWHERE. It’s honestly like leaving Earth and entering a completely different planet. What’s even more interesting is that the landscape can change so quickly with just 5 minutes of driving. Surreal. This post is my detailed summary of the trip. Warning: it is VERY long.Read More »

Travel Packing Tips | 10 Days in a Carry-On

IMG_7314

I just got back from a 10 day trip to London and Iceland (recap to come) and I only brought a carry-on and a personal bag. Honestly, it was a STRUGGLE to fit everything I wanted to bring. Both London and Iceland had cooler rainy weather but I wanted to look cute for the 3 days we were in London and be prepared for the 7 days of outdoorsy adventures in Iceland. I started pulling clothes I wanted to bring into a pile and soon had a baby mountain that was clearly NOT going to fit in a carry-on. To stop myself from overpacking, I visually put together outfits and thought hard about what I would actually need. I came up with a system that I’m pretty proud of and wanted to share!Read More »

I’ve always struggled with acne here and there, but there was a period of time when my skin was so bad that I literally wanted to cry every time I looked in the mirror. I knew I couldn’t continue living that way, so I decided to make my skin health a priority. I made several lifestyle changes that I think truly transformed my skin!Read More »

Reads | Atlanta Public Library

Facetune

I have recently discovered the wonders of a Kindle E-Reader and I get the hype now. I still like the feel and smell of physical books but they’re not the most convenient to bring around with you, especially during travels. The obvious cool thing about Kindles is that you can easily buy a book and read it on your Kindle instantaneously. But if you don’t necessarily like to spend an exorbitant amount of money on books (like me), this other thing is even cooler: you can borrow public library books and download them directly to your Kindle!!!! All you have to do is apply for a FREE library card (link here to the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System Online Library Card Application) and you’ll instantly have a great selection of books right at your fingertips!! (You’d be surprised at how many good books the library system has.)Read More »
